The Dr. Caritha Education Foundation is part of the legacy of founder Dr. Caritha Clark-Roybal, who lost her fight to breast cancer in July 2017. Prior to this tragedy, Dr. Roybal and her team traveled to Uganda in 2015 and met with educator, community leaders and parents about the education conditions there. Since that trip, the foundation has been able to start a school for economically disadvantaged children in the area, The Caritha Roybal Nursery school serving ages 4-17.
Since the passing of Dr. Roybal, her church, World of Truth Christian Fellowship, has stepped in to serve. Now we need your help to continue moving the school forward. The school is in need of funds to purchase desks, books for both the students and teachers, hire security and expand the restroom facilities on the property.
We also need to hire a cook and buy food , because for many of the children it is the best and possibly the only meal of the day. There has been such a need in the community for a school of this kind. Education for many in this area has always been out of reach , due to cost.
As a Nation Uganda offers very limited free public education. Our organization is a 501c3 Non-profit organization , so all donation you make are tax-deductible. So please give today.
